About Me

Hello! I'm Darshan Chauhan, a passionate Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer and proud University Gold Medalist. With a Master of Engineering in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Calgary, I specialize in integrating theory with hands-on practice to solve real-world problems.

My journey in engineering has been fueled by curiosity and innovation. I've led and participated in various projects, from creating a Robotic Assistant with 6 degrees of freedom to developing a Mars Rover capable of navigating uneven terrain. My technical skills span Robotics & Automation, Python programming, MATLAB, Simulink, Generative AI, and Arduino/Raspberry Pi programming.

In my role as Managing Editor at International Association of Science and Technology for Development - IASTED & ACTA Press, I oversee the publication of cutting-edge research in Robotics, Mechatronics, and Power & Energy Systems.

Teaching is another passion of mine. As a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, I've helped over 500 students excel in courses like Engineering Statics, Programming with Data, Engineering Design and Innovation, and Fundamentals of Engineering Materials. My approach is interactive and hands-on, making learning engaging and effective.

Every project I undertake reflects my blend of analytical thinking and creative problem-solving. From designing innovative robotic systems to optimizing editorial workflows, I am committed to advancing the field of engineering.
